Our last stop has been Gatlinburg, TN. We enjoyed our visit to the Dixie Stampede and Dollywood. Jim looked all over the place, high and low but never saw Dolly! We ran into the Compton's from Lexington who happened to be here too. We enjoyed having dinner together with Ben, Suzanne, Charlie and Nancy. It was nice to have friends to enjoy a meal with again.

It will be wonderful to be back in South Carolina even though there will be lots of changes from ...

Oh my, what a shock! But let me begin at the beginning When we left Chattanooga, we high tailed it for the Cherohala Skyway. Weather report had suggested there would be bad weather in the afternoon so we tried to beat the weather. Unfortunately it didn't quite work out that way and we didn't get up onto the Skyway before the rain - lots of it came through. What a bummer. We couldn't see the scenery at all and riding ninths driving rain ...

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the trail to take. We told them how to get to it, but they didn’t want to take the time to get that one. We talked to them along the hike out. Tim headed home and I went into Brevard to stay at the Hampton Inn for the ...

followed the GPS. Technology is great, sometimes it's good to

Yogi in the Smokies is ten times better
than the Yogi we stayed at in Sturbridge MA. Friendly, helpful staff,
lots of activities, well stocked shop. The weather wasn't great, it
rained on and off constantly but there were still breaks in the
weather to enjoy the pool. We were parked near the river which was
        very pretty and peaceful.

... hard work trying to keep up with Bob and Tom on their KTM's as it was very slippery in places but the BMW coped well with the trails especially the dry hard packed gravel, Tom was quite surprised to find me hot on his tail.
