    We made it to the airport, but the lady at the check in desk said we would likely get bumped from the flight, because they had to carry extra fuel. We started thinking of what e could do with the vouchers while we waited to see if we could possibly get on the flight.

    We both got the same 25-page Travax summary of health risks in the countries we're visiting, including some cultural behaviors to be careful of, which could be misinterpreted.

    In the end, I feel pretty well prepared. It's kind of exciting to be going on a vacation that requires extra protection - seems more exotic and less touristy.

You may (or may not) recall that Tyler became President upon the death of President William Henry Harrison, some 30 days after Harrison took office.

    ... took the 45 minute walking tour through the house and then browsed the museum. After watching a 12 minute video on Hayes, I went on the tour. I was the only one on the tour...again, I was not unhappy. A gentleman about my age and with a similar love for history named Jim gave me the tour. Quite a fascinating home.
