... all 4 days.
There was also Kaliani, another coworker from KPMG in London, who'd brought along her flatmate Jen. Apparently I'd met Kaliani a year and a half ago on a snowboarding trip to Kitzbuhel, Austria. I vaguely recall seeing Komy with her friends on the slopes, one of them being plausibly an Indian female, but I really had to take her word for it, the meeting - and indeed, pretty much everything about the Kitzbuhel trip - being rather eclipsed in ...
... Over the years, Barbie and I have traveled quite extensively. She has been to over 65 countries and I have visited 60. We have accumulated an list encompassing most vaccinations on our medical history form. However, there have been two vaccinations that have always seemed to be too expensive to purchase just before we leave for a trip. They are The Rabies series (3) and the Japanese Encephalitis series(3).

After our inauspicious start, things gradually improved, and we found a lovely South Indian restaurant around the corner serving delicious dosas. We have found that you get more South Indian restaurants in the north and vice versa.
Yesterday we finally managed to do some sightseeing in Delhi, finally conquering the Red Fort. It was hot, but okay in the shade, and although there were a lot of people, it ...
... the rubbish goes) with a nice enough fellah who between trying to get cigarettes, coins and a huge tip out of me was polite enough to ask my marital status, how many girlfriend?', 'what country?' and my occupation and wage (basically your average conv with 95% of the lads you meet over here)'. All very smooth so far then and I was beginning to wonder what all the fuss was about, I mean sure.... theres no lines on the road and we are waltzing down what would be a four lane double highway (if ...
Delhi, India absolutebull... adventure except for one morning in the Dubai airport. All of the bathrooms I have been to here have Western-style toilets with toilet paper.
So far, I have done a lot of sightseeing in Delhi. I have gone to many of the markets in the area, and those are quite an experience because all the salesmen target the foreigners and do their best to lure us into their shops for jacked-up prices. This place has a lot more clothing to buy for women, with all of the ...
... calling me back home. Excited for some Amy's Place breakfast. :) I'm scared to go home, unsure of how I'm going to readjust. Scared that I have still have much more to learn from India that I don't have the opportunity to. Scared that I will feel uneasy in the calmness of daily like and patterns which gave me security before. Scared that I will simply want to leave to see more of the world as soon as I get back. I'm ...
Delhi, India grasshopper42$758 Lifeline For Homeowners, $200b To Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae US President Barack Obama on Wednesday targeted the housing crisis at the root of the US economic meltdown, with a program which could cost $275 billion and reach nine million homeowners. Delhi, India zameensandeep... Because just 3 days after I arrived was christmas eve. I went out to a cafe I had been to a few times that I knew sold beer, literally under-the-table. Licencing laws are tough in India, alcohol is frowned upon by all the major religious groups here and religion pays a major part in all law making. This particular establishment gets around the problem by wrapping beer bottles in newspaper, serving beer in coffee mugs and insisting the customers keep their drinks on the ...
Delhi, India martin84... Chinese food! The other restaurant was the 'Kebab Factory'. It too was decent enough, although not the sort of place you'd want to eat at more than once a week as there were only 2 choices, veggie or non-veggie. The food here also had a tendency to be spicy and the portions where rather large. The best part about this place was the selection of deserts. Gulab Jamon (donuts soaked in sweet syrup), some other donut things soaked in a milky mixture, some carrot desert that actually ...
