... started giggling and said, "Gratis! Gratis." Anyway, I ended up getting the wine for 5 euro. But I swear I had no intention of bargaining her down. It was the strangest experience, but I loved it. Sort of like how I loved when I returned to my hotel room to realize the fridge is a mini-mini-MINI fridge and about 4 inches deep. My pizza is now doing a face plant in the fridge and I'm drinking my haggled wine out of a plastic cup.

You just never know what to expect from the day.
El Cabo de Gata, Andalusia, Spain josiezim... had an American vegetarian in his Argentinian restaurant in Spain. I had some delicious vegetable soup and pasta. And after one glass of Rioja (typical Spanish wine) he suggested I instead drink the 'good stuff' some Syrah wine from Argentina. I am now on my 3rd glass of wine, my bag has been 'dropped' by my side for 2 hours and my friendly waiter, who also lived in Rhode Island for several years, snuck me the wifi passcode for the restaurant's office.

Life is good.
Almeria, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands josiezim... really interesting. We decided to check out the cathedral instead. It was ok but nothing like Toledo's. We didn't really like anything in Almeria - so we headed on our way north to Cabo de Gato. We traveled another 30 minutes or so and found a long stretch of white beaches with a small little town (also pretty shut down for the winter). We drove on in search of the Parque Natural - but ran into a dead end at a huge lighthouse and observatory. Our gps was all over the ...
Almeria, Andalusia, Spain stacicheck... someone had been waiting behind a rock near us. I couldnt have left faster if i tried. Very stressful moment.

So we cycled to the other side of Almeria but our journey was cut short due to a coastal windy road with no lights. We had no choice but to sleep where we were. which happened to be up some steps near a light house in the view of hookers. Seriously no other choice. Also, where we slept the happened to be 1cm by 1 inch orange woodlice crawling everywhere. Lovely.
Almería, Andalusia, Spain chris_jones01Returned to San Jose. Next day drove around to the town of Cabo de Gata, saw the salt-pans, went up the the "Cape", saw the incredible beach of Cabo de Gata, had great lunch there, then went around to the beach at Monsul. Eventually decided I HAD to leave!!

Almeria, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands quatrequart... references to Borat - I like you,I like sex. Day2 of canyoning was the dry one called comafreda near the cafe.A couple of scares with the girls and edge, but no bother to them then with a bit of coaxing (and pushing). Following that they were like wonderwoman. Myself and Adam had great fun bouncing away through on all the rocks.Felt great my new 12euro shoes from Decathlon worked wonders and could handle it all. When we reached the big ...
Granada, Spain sylviaenjeroen... to be in are more apartment-style, or for extended periods of time. I hear some have kitchenettes. But who knows....i guess we shall see what I get in about an hour or so. If only I could live in the Alhambra... Seriously, its ridiculously amazing how beautiful this place is. Everyone should go. At least twice. It makes me wonder how many other beautiful things there are in this world that I have yet to see. Granada is growing on me, the more I see the more I like. Im just not ...
On y arrive à 23h30, heure locale. 109980km au compteur.
