... to queue for a couple of hours when some Brits told us that the Bundestag next door had an open day and we could get into the Reichstag that way without queuing. At one of the displays someone overheard my accent and invited me to a discussion about the EU and with that we were ushered into one of the rooms where experts of EU policy were on hand to ask questions. With my mother-in-law as ...
Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany ashlmc... bus/tram travel over a 48 hour period, which squeezed our visit into two very tiring days. The campsite ran a free shuttle bus to the tram terminus, a 20-minute tram ride takes us to Potsdamer Hauptbahnhof, then a 30-minute fast train into the heart of Berlin. Whilst the U- and S- Bahns (underground and suburban trains) in Berlin are excellent, the trams seem to cover only the old East German ...

Berlin, Germany brendanava... artists have displays. The entire inside of the building is covered with interesting and artistic graffiti, and it is incredible to think that you would have no way of knowing what was inside unless you took the chance and checked it out. We head off to the concentration camp tomorrow. We're going on another tour because it seems like there is too much history and no way to learn about it unless someone ...

Berlin, Germany ataritouchme... to but it was a joy to know that such thing actually exists in real Germanic potato form. I believe the walk back was much shorter than the walk earlier in the day; Potsdam was an enjoyable experience and an interesting town nonetheless. On the way back I had originally planned to head back to the hotel for a little rest and relaxation, but that was foiled when I was delayed in exiting and missed my stop. So I went with a few of the girls to the main part of ...
Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany destructogrl... civilizacoes gregas, romanas e islamicas.
Berlin, Germany jan_heineman... wall, which actually happened when the spokesman for the communist East Germany government didn´t do his homework and told the country during a press conference that after years and years of separation between east and west Germany, east germans were now allowed to freely pass over to west germany simply with their passports. The gov´t had planned to say that this would happen ´soon´. Pretty crazy. Anyway, Berlin is an amazing city. Go if you haven´t already gone!

Berlin, Germany leslie2000... absolutely beautiful with marble statues everywhere. I returned to Berlin around 3 :30 pm and saw KaDeWe, supposedly the largest department store in Europe. I also visited the remains of Kaiser Wilheim Memorial Church. There aren't much left after the WWII bombing. The Zoo station area in Berlin is just like the Time Square in New York crowded with people and cabs. I will be heading for Dresden tomorrow so better go to bed. Auf Wiedersen.
