      ... that you definitely have to pick your battles and try not to sweat the small stuff...I'm still coming to grips with Indy not wanting to wear shoes 90% of the time but I am slowly getting better! It makes everyone more relaxed!

      So LA was a pretty big moment for not only us but our whole family. For the first time ever we were going to have the 7 grand kids together in the one place at the one time. Here's a list of the kids in order and their ages:

      ... would pick them up like they were her every day to day things, we would have them behind glass. She talked of the soldiers had to have at least 4 front teeth so that they could roll the musket powder in the paper. It was so pretty and we both took many photos. After a long line up at the toilet we took off at 11.35 am. There was a 150 year celebration of the town today and it is now crazy and trying to get to the bus was madness.       ... headed through the Mojave Desert where the temp is 113 degrees. The Subaru is keeping cool under the halfway mark on the thermostat. Just made reservations for our hotel in Irvine (thanks Mom!) Will post pics soon when we get a better signal.

      ... the water park is that it is not too busy - we can also say that the owners have not gone over board on investment! That said, the kids have a great time and we spend 4 hours chatting and sunbathing in a cabana. Neither of us get wet!
