... this villages you would find in a scenery painting. The hotel we stayed in was nice but basic. When we got there we had a look at the largest free standing Cookoo clock and then met up with a guy to learn about steins. When you cheers with beer your say 'prost' ! It was quite interesting how they are made and the effort that goes into them. Did not blame the €88 or more price tag on majority of the steins. It was quite a relaxed day. We had ...

    Exploring Rhine River!

An hour drive from Trier, we finally reached Koblenz. Got to see a piece of Berlin wall, had a typical German meal Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle with mashed potato and Sauerkraut) pair with a local beer! Yum! After our meal, we headed to the cruise port for an hour ride to explore the Rhine River.

was a journey of ice I shall never forget so lets just hope today is not another
    one of those trips.
As I headed out of Ehrwald the road was extremely slippery and going down a
rather steep hill the bikes tyres let go on a number of occasions but not to the
    extreme to get worried about.
I filled up with fuel ...

... a great spot right on the banks of the Rhine directly opposite Deutsches Eck and literally a 200 m stone's throw across the river.
    Ok...WTF is Deutsches Eck.....?
Well it's a massive monument in stone and bronze of some dude on a rampant charger, and it dominates the point of intersection of the Rhine and Mosel rivers, and also rises above the town of old Koblenz.
It is quite fascinating to watch the river traffic that dominates these ...
