    ... go down and climb back up. Then they have a little train running on a hand pulley to pick up the grapes and take them down the hill. The harvest was a few weeks ago so the grapes are gone and the leaves are falling off.     ... of years. The wine sampling was fun and of course, the purchase of some product was a must!!!

    Back on board for a special dinner tonight and early tomorrow morning we push off for Cologne - our next and last stop in Germany. We are unfortunately starting to count down before reality sets in and we get back to a more realistic life style following our grand river cruising experience.

    ... rules about only 4 ingredients. Beer seems to be a way of life here, licensing laws must not exist as even the smallest kiosk selling ice creams will also sell chilled bottled beer... and hence every campsite so far has chilled beers also. So amazed by how cheap beer was we forgot to buy bottled water. Never mind the beer is cheaper anyway! I will be looking to bring several crates back, a proper milk bottle style crate of 20 ...
