... Next day up for checkout and then bus to Downtown, then a couple of free trollies which eventually made it to the Port of Miami. It was a bit of a convoluted route, so I would probably recommend getting the bus to downtown and then a taxi if doing this again in this direction.

In for our Royal Carribean 4 night cruise, checked out the ship, played some BBall, had nice food, weather still not great (cold front).

Unfortunately the scenic route would have taken another 6.5 hours of driving, so we decided to hit the highway again, arriving in Miami around 6.45pm. Somehow stuffing up our directions, we were on the road for about 10 hours...
Our apartment is part of a restored Art Deco hotel, originally built in the 40's. Clean and tidy, we settled in for a good nights sleep...

... on Deck 16 Aft for a Bud Light Platinum and some sun. At 12:30, I tried the cabin again and it was ready.

The Studio cabins are very cool. The bed for one could easily sleep two. The shower and sink are part and parcel of the room. The desk is tiny and blocked by a narrow shelf but, no matter. There is more closet space than I imagined there would be but slightly less drawer/shelf space than I imagined. The commode is behind a door ...

... of mornings. I was instantly nauseas finding toilet paper covered in poo in the bathroom bin - must be a cultural thing. After managing to brush my teeth in between retching I then took my doxycycline on an empty stomach with little water. ... s Art Deco almost as far as the eye can see. It's actually really beautifully maintained, and hasn't been built over by modern monsters. So it has quite a low rise, festive look about it. Visited the Wolfsonian - FIU museum ... More Art Deco and an interesting exhibition on the change from farm based to mass produced food in the US. Home to the hotel for a swim ... But even too hot by the pool for me to stay long. It's a shame all my ancestors were bog dwelling ...
