Out of a chance discussion with one of the hotel staff (thanks Carrie) about things to do in and around the area I learned of the Cross-Country skiing and snow-shoeing facility at the Chaplin Forest Reservation. As I have never tried either, off I went and had a great time - spent an hour getting use to Cross-Country skiing and then did an hour of Snow-Shoeing and enjoyed it too. Had I known earlier I would have gone several more times.

... for the night. I meet up with the group in the lobby, but while they were going to the bowling alley now, i decided to find some dinner.I left the hotel and walked down the street to a burger and beer bar, ordered some food, ate a really good burger and had a drink. After i had eaten i went to the bowling alley, passing the
theater district as i walked. I entered the Alley, found our group and started to bowl. I got changed ...

... we have now reached Ravenna in Ohio. Our stop for for the night is the Rocking Horse Inn, which we booked only this morning. It is a 'stick-style' Victorian house, once a convent, but now a fabulously quaint and ornate B&B. We have just had a wonderful impromptu dinner with our hosts, some local friends and another guest. Taken aback by such generous hospitality, it just shows that if you can't win them all, you can certainly win some of them.
