... nobody is there. A basket shop we went into on one of our sojourns the other day just had two guys lounging around the shady corner that didn't take much notice of us. (Another adaptation)? Nancy finally asked them about a bird cage she was interested in, and they took a while figuring out what it should cost. They had a couple private taxis there (pickups with bench seats in the back) and did ask if we were interested in a ride somewhere, ...

... The national holiday days are dry, so no alcohol can be sold and bars remain closed. Maybe a good thing after 4 heavy days! (Foreigners do not seem to get involved in this holiday, unlike Songkran, although Thais visit the temple and monks are presented with candles and garments).

Made lots of new friends over the weekend... great way to finish my time in Hua Hin!

... cities as your stop Points otherwise you would spend hours getting there and regular transport runs between cities. Today's journey involves a 5 hour minibus ride up the coast, thank god this one has functional air con! At 260 bhat a person that is 1 an hour! You really can't go wrong. Im really getting used to the travelling now and will never see a 2-3 hour journey in the UK as a hassle ever again, i think to date we've travelled 12500km so ...

The previous evening, we'd discovered that after belting through 80 miles to get to Petchaburi, there was nothing a convenient distance from it to head to today. We therefore decided to give ourselves a break and do a short 40 miles to the tourist destination of Hua Hin. This also gave us the chance to head off the highway and check out some more rural Thailand. The roads were still great, but the scenery much more interesting. The traffic was minimal ...

... Bangkok(BKK) with my friends Danny and Malin to get out and see something else for a change! The ride there was about 2.5 hours and was only 180 baht, which is less than $6.00.
