... inspired to explore Bangkok with mom, who was catching a flight the next day, so she didn't get a great idea of Bangkok. All said and done, it was probably a whirlwind for my mother, who was an amazingly good sport with being dragged everywhere and told what to eat. ... to see the island for 1/2 hour. In the afternoon we all went snorkelling (minus Jess who watched whilst licking her wounds on a rock). We swam out to sharks bay in the hope we would see sharks. There is also pineapple and grass harvest, which is easier on muscles, but picking them out of the ground you get lots of cuts from the sharp leaves and stems. Then for the next two days we helping at an elephant sanctuary where we got to ride and look after the elephants! This was so much fun! On the first day we were trained on how to sit on them and give them commands to make them go a certain direction or put us down or lift us up which was amazing as they are such huge beasts!
