... all fall asleep. All in bits we arrive at the next bus station. In this city called Nanning they have even less English speaking people than the other places we've been to so far. There was a ticket machine, but unfortunately we couldn't change the language to English. ... attractions in Nanning include Guangxi Museum, People’s park (White Dragon Park) with the Zhenning Fort, Mount Qingxiu, Guangxi Medicinal Herb Botanical Garden, and Yangmei Ancient Town. I didn’t have much time to explore those places but when I went for my morning walk by the river (just nearby the youth hostel – Greenforest Hostel) I experienced something that touched the core of my being.

... tables, giving a 'thumbs up' to rice and vegetables and 'thumbs down' to chicken feet, and squid.

No matter how many people waved the menu under our nose and shouted in Chinese we still didn't understand. Eventually, after K shook her arm horizontally while making a frying sound and repointing at the ingredients we finally got some veggie fried rice.
