    ... 5 times the pace of the old train! I then took the 2 hour bullet train to Nagoya from Tokyo.     ... are not to be encouraged. If the alcohol was seen close to the train lines, we could be booted off. Discretion was the key. Best to appear like a bunch of train enthusiasts, of which there were a lot of on this trip. We stayed for an hour at Odawarra Station before saying goodbye to Mr and Mrs Ishige.

    ... Udon we find our way to the castle, and its a beautiful day not a cloud in the sky, this old castle was built in 1612 and was damaged by fire in the air raids in 1612, they are rebuilding some parts of the castle that is not scheduled to be done until 2019, but it has survived close to 500 years of war and hopefully it survives another 500+ years.
