      ... able to take a few days each week to travel around, possibly even into France, and of course I could fly out and back and do city breaks if finance permits. But the six month adventure to Australia seems a long way away, as does a trip to Germany. As for random travel of the Twitter kind, that seems a lifetime away :(

      So compromise being the order of the day I shall start with one small step. A blog. More in hope than anticipation.

      ... up in time for a tour of the Millennium Centre (featured in Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood). Turned up at 2pm only to find out there were no tours running this afternoon due to educational groups or something. He suggested I try tomorrow. I nearly suggested that it would be challenging for me to visit from Liverpool. More might appear here today....otherwise stay tuned for the Liverpool report ...

I already had a pint just so I could ask the girl about the free wifi and how to print my Doctor Who e-ticket (cost me 10p). Apologies for such a long post.       ... that he wasn't here". My memory of it is a spectacular island ruined fortress accessed by a rope bridge, but English Heritage have sanitised it. It's still a fantastic location, and there are ruins from a medieval castle, and remains of even older structures from the fourth or fifth century. Then on to stay overnight with Davina in Bristol, and train home ...
