... drove, and drove, and drove, and saw more. Deer, antelope, wild(?) horses. We slept in Sheridan, where we had our cab driver take us into town to sample some of the local beer. I lasted for one, and was ready for bed!

Today we'll get to Yellowstone. We won't be able to spend nearly enough time there, but like I've said before, I'm calling this a preview trip!

... We read an interesting newspaper article about high school teachers moving to Wyoming from Idaho because the pay was so much better. One teacher's salary went from $25000 to $57000 by the move. Wyoming has stated that they feel it is important to put the wealth from their resources into education.

Today was a day of ups and downs....the Beartooth Pass Higway 212 from Silver Gate to Red Lodge Montana, then a run up and down Highway 14A from Lowell Wyoming to Burgess Junction where we stopped at the Bear Lodge Resort where we finally met our first cowboys.

... camp for free, about 3/4 mi from the main drag theres a spot for myself. I hop out of the van with a grin from ear to ear, theres a fire pit!!. My first fire of the trip is up and going immediately, for the rest of the evening i tend the inferno and enjoy my surroundings. ... to Sheridan, WY for our sleep over spot at the KOA in Sheridan.
We didn't arrive until around 8:00 so by the time we go the tents setup it was about time for bed. I spend some time typing up this entry and Lisa went to the local store for some groceries. We traveled about 370 miles today.

I have us scheduled to leave at 8:00 in the morning. That may be wishful thinking. I'm sure the tents will be nice and wet by then.
