... contorted laugh escaped their twisted mouths. Their looks screamed, Get me off of here". I know how they feel, I truly sympathise. And we've all got two more days at sea before we reach land again.
And therein lies another problem. Min has "done her back in". It just "went" three nights back and she can hardly walk. Fortunately we have her wheelchair with us to help on her days when her arthritic knee makes it too painful to walk, so that is enabling us to get her around ...

... from the free booze and cheese and back to ship by 4.30pm.
To be honest what we saw of the island was very nice. It is lush, green, beautiful and unspoilt, very much still a rural, agricultural community. This turned out to be very quick and easy unlike the guy we got for the American customs. We lined up there for a good 20 minutes before the even opened the line which extended outside and half way along the deck. We managed to get a real smart ****, but the British chap was very friendly. Funny story, we have a chap ...

... do the cooking of the food. It's a little eery knowing there's that much heat so close to the surface around here. Intelligently I know that it's just hot water coming up from way below the surface where it's being heated, but intuitively you kind of just visualize molten lava right there under your feet! Anyway, the bubbling and gurgling noises and steam etc. would make for quite the movie set!
Following that, we hit the road and headed for home in Porto Formoso.
