... the hours until the next meal, trying to occupy ourselves... so I have been working on summer internship applications and reading this great book called Mountains Beyond Mountains which is about Paul Farmer.
Well, that's all I have to report, I'm not sure when my next blog will be, probably not until after Ireland, so around December 15 I would assume.
All the best!

So we just went for a walk in the harbour and had a look around its another pretty little harbour town with some cafes but its still really different from Italy. We found a supermarket and as we wanted ...

... for a few hours before heading to shore. We didn't' want to go alone so we asked any of the crew if they wanted to go with us. We ended up getting three of the stewies and one of the deckies to go with us. With only four people aboard the work load was very light, so they were able to go with us. We took the tender to shore and no one was on the beach where we landed, but there were more people scattered ...

Driving in Slovenia and actually seeing stuff

I was awakened during the night, not to the chimes of the bells, but rather by the boom of an intense thunderstorm and the banging of my shutters as the wind whipped into my room. As I went to fasten them shut, it was a pretty awesome sight (whether it was a dream or actually occurred, I will never know), as I saw a bolt of lightning crash down from the sky immediately to the right of the bell tower looking over the square. Whether it was a dream or ...

... bones disappeared from Constantinople in around 800 AD. She is now the city's patron saint & her remains lie inside the church, which has the highest belltower in northern Croatia.

Small art galleries, shops, and waterside cafes fill the narrow cobblestone streets near the harbor, and it was a pleasant place to spend a few relaxed hours.

The water was a deep teal green and looked so clean, even in the middle of a busy shipping port with 6-7 large container ships in port.

The Adriatic was a beautiful place to sail. Rolling hills covered in grape vines rose out of the water & were met by short mountains (foothills of the Julian Alps) on the Istrian peninsula.

Excuse the complaining in the beginning of the day

... muscles. When walking to the clothing shop, me and Tobias went some meters behind the rest of the family, when some german "snob" boys stopped me and asked - "Excuse me, miss, could I take a picture of us?" This was okay, I thought, and he held a cell phone in front of us - one without a camera. They four friends thought this was unbelievably hilarious and couldn't stop laughing until they found a new "miss" to transact the trick to. We found a new big street in Porec ...
