... with that urge to see new things, experience new worlds, “suck all the marrow out of life,” that I feel truly at home. It’s a strange addiction, and I’m not suggesting that it is better or worse than living a settled life. I come from an amazing home with family and friends who are very dear to me. However, in my time on this earth, I’ve learned to appreciate that one can have both roots and wings. And that nothing makes me ...

The main entrance had the fiction books with a number of model trains running around the top of the bookcases and many more reading nooks. I don't care how old I am, there is nothing better than hugs and kisses off Mama bear when you arrive at the airport. Similarly, not a lot better than a wiggly puppy bum to greet you at the front door :) I love to be away, but I equally like to come home too.

I am pretty sure I said this on the way out, but they should ban feckin' wheeled cases as carry-on luggage! *humbug* The Newcastle flight was full, and most of the overheads ...

... for tomorrow morning! Ended up at a little motel in York called Clifton Bridge. Arthur the owner offered to drive us to the nearest pub for dinner. We ended up at the 'Dormouse '. We met 2 Aussie's , they were sitting at the table next to us!!! They are from Geelong, they said they hadn't met any other Aussies in the last 4 weeks. We had a great chat. Arthur picked us up! Amazingly accommodating. Very tired, so early to bed ready for a big day exploring York ...
