... I wasn't that keen to go inside a grotto. But in we went, all ohhhing and ahhing. It was pretty spectacular inside, a cave inside a cave. Expected to see Johnny Depp or his dad, sorely disappointed on that score. It is very "piratey" around these parts and apparently there is a strong, and long, history of piracy in the region. On the way to to the ferry we had planned to stop to see the other Nuraghic ruins that we didn't see the other day, These were supposed to be bigger and better, and they didn't disappoint. The most impressive was a village covering 4 hectares. The biggest most complete tower was the central meeting area for the village and the chiefs dig's. ... don't do it justice. We had lunch at the top of the Col (Col de Brevella) and then on our drive back down (passing cows, pigs and goats) we found our own private rock pools to swim & jump around in. The water was cool but Mitch & Grace didn't care one bit! One of our best days yet. ... and olives. I was getting the olives from the .ittle man at the deli counter and Jeff was getting a cheese from the fridge area. He just looked at Jeff and wa e his hand down with a NOH! and suggested he get his cheese, which we did.
Weather has beeb bellissimo, buena excellent.

Left Sardignia on ferry. Slightly chaotic. Every one wanted to be first except the officials. Didn't arrive until 45 minutes after the allotted time Ba!
Bonifacio was majestic. The landing town in Corsica. (will try for photo on return ferry). Sheer 100 ft cliffs with houses teetering on the edge.
