... The person does it for 8 hours at a time with a 10 minute break per hour in a dark room......puts a whole new meaning to counting sheep to fall asleep!! Finally finding the falls, but not a car park, we snapped a few photos from the car and headed to the highest point on the mountain to get an overall view of the Hood river and gorge and the surrounding mountains. The area is beautiful. Deciding Seattle called, we headed off on our next Thelma and ...

Miranda and William make a beeline for the touch pool (of course) and we continue wandering around looking at the different fish, as well as an exhibit of birds. The place is much bigger than we thought it would be – we eventually wind up in a room which is below the water and looking out into Puget Sound! Visibility is pretty bad, but it seems very popular. Back above the water, and William is ...

... skies were overcast and we hoped for the sun to come out, which it did later on. We walked by numerous restaurants and settled on The Fisherman’s Restaurant where Harlan enjoyed fried oysters and I chose grilled halibut. It’s located next to the ferris wheel. Instead of the normal seats the rider sits inside a gondola. There was no way I was going on this ride, and especially when we saw the cost…$11 for seniors.
