Blue Rinses and Bad Tempers
... could not believe it when we found the hot tub! Life is good; we really were lobsters of a different kind when we emerged wrinkly and red from the hot tub on the roof after watching the sun go down over the horizon and the cruise ships with all their lights cross the now dark sea.
We went into Philipsburg to have a look at the wonderful courthouse built in the 1800s and wandered into a Methodist Church ...
And then the Mad Orange Woman showed up.
... do the drying and putting stuff away! Then, if she still feels up to it, the ironing board with the weeks laundry just waiting to be done as well..... and once they’ve all finished the work, a quick trip in the dingy from right outside our apartment. We could either go straight to where many locals go. A cafe called Lagoonies where the special of the day is always good. And only costs $ 10.00 a head including a beer, juice or water. Now that would be great You ...
And finally we’re up and running again
... Flyinf with them reminds me of the Beetles Song from the 60's... A Magical Mystery Tour.... because they have actually been known to take off without any of the passengers on board. And even the hostess said nothing about this to the pilot either that there were just no passengers on board. And off they went............. So it is a rather an exciting airline to fly on! You certainly have to keep all your wits about you, or you can literally be left behind.

And Finally for this Year..... but more to follow
... the next island and a British one as well for the day.) So now we’re back actually needing our passports and travelling again. Really exciting. Something excellent is happening here. Lots of mega yachts are turning up for the winter. Including, Roman Abramovitch who lives on St Barts. They do not have a harbour big enough for his boat, so he berths it here. I really didn’t know there was just so much money in the world as people spend on these.
