Home, sweet home. I really did enjoy my trip but it sure is good to be home again.

Of course being home meant that I had to unpack and do laundry. And even though I haven't been here for three weeks, the place still managed to accumulate dust. And I had to go through three weeks of mostly junk mail. But I missed my humble abode and all my family and friends here in Winona.

Miles today were 574.

Not too much to write for today. Just riding down the road, heading home. I Left Oklahoma City this morning, drove through Arkansas and then across the mighty Mississippi into Mississippi. Not far now. By the time I hit Greenwood I knew it wouldn't be long. And then I was home.

Sometime in the next few days I will be writing a final journey note. Just thoughts and trivia about the trip. Till then.

What a day! We were packed and on the road in good time this morning and we are just starting up the road when the car stalls. We parked the car and, while Don was doing some checks, the sheriff pulled up beside us to see if we need help. He was able to tell us that of a Nissan dealer in the next town. well, it's freking 8 in the mornin and i'm tired as all hell. i gotta get the airport and fly somewhere out in california. you know i've never been on a airplane before, heck i've never been out this damn state of mississppi. but you gotta do whacha gotta do about kicking some french behind.

Just finished going through the National Park here which puts the battle of Vicksburg into prospective and makes one understand the horrors of war. It covers sixteen miles of roads with lots of places to stop and read what went on at that spot.
