... so I could sponge off their free Wi-Fi, to check out Graceland, home of Elvis, and to just generally be tourists. Not only was the Wi-Fi free at McDonalds, but so was the entertainment. ... stop was at our motel for the evening, the Hampton Inn in Greenwood. Tomorrow we hit Memphis. Since it was so early, we got directions to the Mississippi Delta Museum which turned out to be right across the Highway. This local museum was ok, told the history of the region, has copious examples of early indian pottery, arrowheads, etc. Had a wildlife exhibit, local art work, and history of what was happening in the area during the Civil War ...

... to figure out how to deal with that before we get to the desert! We crossed into Mississippi. There's hardly any traffic along hwy 82, just straight flat highway. We pulled into Greenwood, Mississippi around 3:30 local time and relaxed for awhile, then out to dinner. We picked up a few groceries for tomorrow and then called it a day.

We made good time today and have more driving tomorrow.
