Went for dinner to La Botte: Paolo had the Vongole, the girls had Bolognese and I had a Sicilian speciality with aubergines.... Very nice...

Minori and Pompeii 25 degrees, sunny

Another beautiful day in Minori as we endeavour to take care of the last thing on our list for this area - Pompeii. We are taking the car out for the 16 km drive to Vietri and then along the motorway to Pompeii, the modern town. ... a little while I was on my own with no one in sight, which was a cool feeling. I swam back out and hopped into the boat. Gionni then gave us some homemade limoncello which was extremely strong but good. I asked him what limoncello was made out of and he responded with, "Pure alcohol!" Hah! It tasted like it!

We carved our way in and out of the bays, stopping off here and there along the way at a beach and viewing things such as ...

Capri and our night in Sorrento

... the hills for dinner to a lovely little place with a wondrous view. The food was lovely. We then travelled by bus to the hotel. Now most of you will remember me explaining the Albatros hotel in Sorrento that had the photo of the pool area all empty and ruined in comparison to the management's photo. Well I was very apprehensive on the way there to see what it would really be like. Well we arrived at this ...
