Another beautiful day in Minori as we endeavour to take care of the last thing on our list for this area - Pompeii. We are takingvthe car out for thev16 km drive to Vietri and then along the motorway to Pompei, the modern town. I actually enjoyed the winding drive today, I can understand how people get used to the way it works. It is a great drive.

Today we have 3 goals, some time in Amalfi, a visit to Ravello and the meeting at Maiori. Sounds easy. We will see!
An early morning walk up about 500 steps whets the appetite and gets the heart and legs pumping. Not necessarily in a good wat. The views of Minori are worth it though as is the view upwards towards Ravello.

... the trip up wasn't my favourite part of the day. Especially when it stopped when about halfway. Couple of very steep parts with what looked like steep cliff off to one side - wasn't looking too closely at that stage!
Amazing views over the island, and back over the bay of Naples. Just a shame there is a layer of smog all around the bay. No wonder some of the sunsets have looked quite cool.

Creeping through the tiniest of gaps between cars with literally millimetres to spare was more difficult backwards as we found the road ended with no turn around possible and no campsite!
