    well here we are in Rio.... will skip the travel bit - boring.. arrived sunday morning 6.30am - temperature of 29 - phew!! had a quick glimpse of Jesus on the way to the hotel, but we are going to see him properly this afternoon.     Hola Amigos, After a few weeks of skiing in Whistler while Scott was working hard back in Sydney it was time to rendezvous in Rio.     I would like to start this blog by saying thst if I had to recommend one experience you MUST have in your lifetime, it is, without a doubt, CARNAVAL!!!
    I landed in Rio and loved it immediately. Partly because it had been such a struggle to get here. Mainly because.... its RIO!!!

    ... famous Copacabana one, as although its not the nicest it was the easiest to get to, and still needed a place just to lie down and sleep off my hangover for a few minutes! Was pretty much as i expected... lots of beach volleyball and football, and a load of fitties in bikinis - can't complain!

    After that wanted to head over to Santa Teresa to do the bits i'd missed out there... mainly the tiled steps which are pretty much on everyone's pictures of Rio, but also climb up ...
