... br> Realising we had quite a way to go to get to Hameln we missed out seeing the sheep and pigs then headed back to the van via the gift shop. Wolf fleeces galore:-) I refrained from buying more fleeces and opted for a wolf handbag instead.

Our stopover a Hameln was alongside a river and old railway of which neither had any movement, so it turned out to be very quiet.

... climb the church tower (280 steps) which gave great views over the town and surrounding land. (In Amsterdam you pay €7.50 to climb the Westerkerk church tower!)

All in all a pleasant, picturesque town, with affordable cafes and parking and friendly people, though most visitors were a bit old. Made me feel so young!

After 20 hours of planes, trains, and automobiles, we have arrived safely at our destination and can once again sleep in a horizontal position. We couldn't figure out how to use the GPS system in the Mercedes Benz rental! So grateful we had the iPad to come to the rescue. We are staying at the edge of a lake, and had dinner al fresco.
