    ... in we went. The Chateau is more untouched since the revolution than Versailles, The buildings are wonderful, The gardens good but not--- Versailles--- However, there is more authentic furniture left in Fontainebleau, like a table where Napoleon I abdicated, a bed made for Marie-Antoinette but was never used.... (we know why!) having said that there are wonderful rooms, but it lacks the WOW , WOW, WOW, factor just a bit. We had lunch ...

    ... The history of the area is pretty interesting as it is home to a lot of aspiring artists, little cafés and restaurants in lane ways and the red light district of paris. We ended the tour up near the sacre cour and stumbled upon a cool artists square where the locals showcase their skills and sketch/paint landscapes and portraits before your eyes.

    ... the Arc de Triumph (Arc of Three Umphs)

    It was a nice walk through a park, by the aquarium and the Arc was under construction. There was a military service going on that looked nice, and a bride and groom were out taking pictures (they were in a really nice old car, but the convey they were with honked steadily to announce their presence). They took pictures in front of the Arc.
