Eiffel Tower!!!! 2.5hrs on the bus hearing about the history of landmarks and seeing tjose things you only read about in books or see on tv - Notre Dame, Louvre, Champs Elysees etc. So many high end shops and more.     The swear jar was full to overflowing from our Bordeaux rush-hour driving experience, so we used some of the cash to buy a couple of chocolate croissants before jumping on the TGV. It was a direct service to Paris (pretty much half way across France), with no stops at all along the way, so it only took three and a half hours.     Surprise, surprise...another sunny morning. We have been really lucky with the weather in the last half of our trip.

    First breakfast this morning at the Hotel Roblin, we knew the price was up there... €22 pp, so we expected something special. Sadly it wasn't that special at all. Never the less, we stocked up with "Pain au Chocolat" for lunch and I souvenired a few little bottles of drinking yogurt.

    ... fast trains - double decker and no visible room for luggage. We were on the lower deck. Luckily the train was not full so the suitcases had a window seat! Our suitcase was not the only one with a view. Also we were lucky to be on the lower deck as getting the luggage up the stairs would have been fun - not!!
