    We are enjoying the sun.

We have parked in a secure site with electricity €4 per night, which is fantastic value.

This is Monchique. 820m above the plains of the Algrave.
Our GPS took us up a single lane intrepid local road. A bit scary at times. Should have known better and stay on the beaten track. It was a bit like a James Bond drive but in a campervan, no guns involved. Phew.. Great view.

Perhaps tourists don't spend more than a month here our they find WIFI easy. Any way it is a great deal, like most things here. ...

... last night to find that our neighbours were people that we had met at the elephant park Aire, in Spain. This afternoon much to our delight our French neighbours from Aljezur arrived, so now we are surrounded by friends on all sides of our camp.

Carrapateira is a beach side camp with only a few homes. This is a national park so is protected from development. This is a surfers paradise, seas are good and weather ...
