... to spend the afternoon relaxing. Dinner was simple: I heated one of the stuffed peppers the Kellners had given us, opened a package of instant potatoes and made a salad for Wendell. The home-grown tomatoes they also provided were excellent drizzled with a little Kraft poppyseed dressing. Thanks for dinner, Gene and Irene! We’re looking forward to the cabbage rolls, too.

... good at the end of a long day. The hotels were from fabulous to memorable. The Raffles, Shangri La's, Mandarin Orientals and InterContinental's were as nice as any in the world in which I have stayed. The most memorable will be the "Bed Bug Inn" with its brothel and the girls whistling and cat calling while we parked and unloaded our trucks. The night on the Junk was special. Our farewell dinner was wonderful. A great party and party we ...

To replace the neighborhood with a 'big-box retail store' (Wal-Mart or Target), a strip mall and service economy jobs is reprehensible. Next trip I want to ride in on horseback to check it out! We made a stop at a tractor retailer to buy farm equipment, yes folks we have seen lots of random ****! They bought a Combine Harvester for oats. The younger ...

Let's hope that when it comes time to appropriate the money to build the entire fence, cooler Congressional heads will prevail. There are better ways to protect our borders than building a wall that people will inevitably find ways around but wildlife won't. El Paso, Texas, United States billiegreenwood... and met a friendly trucker who looked, acted, and talked just like Jim Nabors. Just as we were leaving the restaurant, several border patrol vehicles with lights flashing went racing past us headed west. One car blocked the road, and people were running everywhere. We decided we should head out before things got too serious. We continued on the frontage road, and soon saw and heard two ambulances headed west on the interstate. We later ...
