By this point, it was a breeze navigating the Number 14 tram line that carried us and our luggage to the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). ... eased the rain had just about stopped but the road surface was flooded with large puddles congregating along the way. The spray from trucks and other vehicles was just terrible indeed. At times I never knew if it was even still raining or simply just spray from the other vehicles.
Finally into France and the motorway surface changes to a more rough surface which is better for me as I know the bikes tyres will grip on this surface much more than the smooth tar surface. ...

Right here we also had the Bear garden. We spent some time sitting here looking over the entire city.
We loved Bern. It seemed so livable as a city. We really wanted to live in a swiss city like Bern. Maybe sometime soon:)
We found a southindian hotel and Masala dosas for snacks. We also packed some Indian food to eat in the train later.
Back to germay to face another Monday ...
... within Switzerland and Europe, and we would have to agree with her having used the train system throughout! We definitely want to come back here and stay for a couple of weeks or so... It was so quiet all you could hear was the bells of the dairy cows on the hills and to gush of the river and the streams flowing from the mountains around. Many families were hiking by the river and up the walking paths surrounding the town. Interesting to note the warning by the river ...

So, I apologize if this entry seems merely like a vacation blog. After arriving in Bern we checked into our hostile, and gave ourselves a walking tour of the city. We quickly came to the realization that everything in Switzerland is about 2.5-3 times more expensive than items in America. A Big Mac at McDonalds was 11.90 for just the sandwich ...
