... mix need reviving. The weather was clear on the main view side and overcast on another. Evidently God didn't feel that the view and revolveing restaurant was good enough for us, so he threw in a couple of snow falls for good measure. Gotta love the guy!

We made a couple/few revolutions, took a few dozen pictures, and started our descent. We decided, at the encouraging of Rick Steves, to stop off at the tiny, and I mean TINY ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland trockie... and didn't give her blood tests (for swine flu) because he knew she was an American student and didn't want to extract her money and doubted she had swine flu. Annie walked out of the clinic with three medications and an appointment for only $85. I was very impressed. I don't know how they do it, but somehow Switzerland can do everything better than the US can. Yes, they are much smaller than we are, but still.
When we got back to Geneva, I went straight ...
Bern, Bern, Switzerland chelseyineuropeSwitzerland was perhaps one of the most expensive places I have been, but the Swiss Alps were outstanding! The town I stayed in was Bern. Bern forced us to slow down our pace a bit because it was a small town and there was not much to do. ( I can not shorten my words because there is no apostrophe key on this German computer keyboard I am using. So, I have to write out "can not" instead of shortening it to "can apostrophe t". This is what ...
Bern, Switzerland travels-of-tish... at it, we EXPERIENCED it, first on a canyoning tour. You ave to put on special gear and helmets to trek through some of the most incredible gorges in the Alps, climbing, rappelling, and jumping into a bunch of naturally formed pools. In the afternoon, we took a real "mountain bike" tour, on a real mountain bike and on a real mountain.
Bern, Bern, Switzerland zackyoung... im back off to Paris on the highspeed train which should be pretty cool! Im looking forward to being back in a hostel as i have missed always having people around me, But being in this house has been so great, im not used to having my own space and being able to spread my stuff out so much! Desiree and her whole family have been nothing short of amazing and i definately feel like a part of their family. I think that they are just as sad to be saying goodbye as i am! The ...
Bern, Switzerland lovin_apples... Bernard dogs who were sitting up there for tourists to have pictures with, and hiked up the hill a little bit to the top of the ridge where we got a gorgeous 360 degree view. The cloud quickly disapeared, and we sat out on a rock on the edge of a cliff in the sun for ages and ages, looking at the people hiking below us (they litterally were so small that we could barely see them, the perspective from where we were sitting was incredible) and watching the crows floating ...
Bern, Switzerland lovin_applesMy life really is like a circus, I just have to laugh at it! And occasionally i look like something that belongs in a circus! You know there is an example coming up so let me tell you about my last Friday. A couple of nutty Germans who are travelling around on a big mean shiny purple machine came to stay a few days with my new host family. And they very kindly offered to take me for a ride through the lovely mountains in the Emantal region. How nice is that! And my new amazing ...
Murzelen, Switzerland shazzasheila... past our city...it just didn't stop there. SOOO, we got off on the next stop, hopped back on ANOTHER train, and finally made it to Vevey. The next day we took a bus to a castle, where we ran into a boy's choir (why not?)who was doing a tour and decided to sing in all of the rooms, which definately added some charm to the castle. We decided to walk back to our hostel all along the lake, which was ...
Geneva, Switzerland rachels8... concrete is known about Luzern until 1178, when an abbot established a lay order at the Kapellkirche (now St Peter's Chapel), indicating that quite a substantial settlement must have existed in the area. Around 1220, the opening of the Gotthard pass further south created new impetus for growth, with merchants and travellers setting sail from Luzern for the long trans-Alpine journey (the first lakeside road was built only in 1865). Eyeing the prosperity flowing ...
Lucerne, Switzerland benandtrudie... that..." which I take to mean "mom, mom, why can't this guy say anything that makes any sense." She then looks at me and grins a funny 9 year old crooked grin and then laughs hysterically. Ah, pride, I think it's over rated. Today, I walked around and familiarized myself with this lovely "little" town. I started out at 9:30am and returned to the house around 8:00 pm. I think I stopped to sit for about an hour. I read at the shore of Lake Geneva until it started to rain ...
