Almost. Jonathan went to a museum in Lehon while I shopped for souvenirs in Dinan. We met under the clock tower at 12 and had lunch in a strange little cafe, quiche and salad followed by ice cream with salted caramel and Breton biscuits, washed down with coffee. It had clouded over when we struck out up the hill. We read a few menus and then found a creperie which did just that, crepes - there are a lot of "creperies" here that seem to have very few crepes and a lot of frites and haches (chips and hamburgers) perhaps for the tourists from across the channel. ... The house was redecorated in the 19th century after being trashed in the revolution. Heavily decorated woodwork on cupboards, fancy candelabra and massive vases, faded peeling wallpaper. ... we've had in Brittany and then proceeded to walk to the old town. The guide books had led us to believe that there were very few half timbered houses left following the major fire of 1720 but were we very pleasantly surprised at what we saw whilst wandering around.
