... was really nice seeing them again - it is their last few days in Austria so it was good to see them before they went back to England.
We went for a couple of games of bowling before we left and said our final goodbyes to the Virtual Heroes lot!
THEN we were off on a 3.5 hour journey up to Linz! (after refuelling with a McDonalds of course!)

Nova Gorica is a small city adjacent to the border of Italy. It lies between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. The city was designed immediately after the Second World War when the borders between Italy and Yugoslavia were realigned. It was built as a substitute town for Gorizia, which remained on the Italian side of the border. Nova Gorcia is a vibrant university town. Before I knew it, Deb was back and our friend had found a way to Zagreb. Thankfully, he was very cool about it and did not get mad like any normal person would; we made sure he kept his money even though he insisted he still pay, despite not reaching his destination. ... Swiss cheese look structurally sound. Despite this, the place had a charm of sorts - cooking facilities, crockery, a shower and all that were provided, along with free Wifi and a somewhat working printer. I was offered free homegrown wine from one of their several large vessels and retired, eventually getting warm under the covers, to my wheeled shack. ... watch for cars or bicyclists.... Abused our ferry tickets again and took several laps around the city before realising it was just about time to leave.. After leaving Venice, we drove a couple of hours north finding the temperature starting to drop and the sign of snow up on the Julian Alps that lay ahead of us. Stopped in Tarcento for the night, but unfortunately no free electricity as promised!
