... in the picture. There were many Kolsch brauhauses around and we stopped for lunch at Brauhaus Sion. People were dressed up everywhere like it was Halloween and we later discovered it was a carnival. Annissa tried the currywurst and I had a foot long bratwurst with fried potatoes and a creamy cabbage. The people next to us had pork knuckles and what must have been a 6 foot long bratwurst. ... checked in right on time at the airport. Had a most excellent brunch at The Red Baron Cafe, I mean who could not go to a cafe with a name like that? ... 2010! Marie lived with us for 3 months in 2010 and again for a few weeks in 2011 while she was a Rotary Exchange Student sent to Proserpine. Marie has developed into a beautiful, confident and caring adult. Marie moved to Cologne about 18 months to take up studies at the Cologne University and is from all accounts progressing well.

... to transfer to our train so had to wait until 9am to get our first coffee in Mainz. Mainz has a nice Hauptbahnhof with all of the regular shops like McDonalds, Starbucks and Ditsch, which sell Bretzels and coffee. We weren’t keen on spending a Euro each to use the toilets, so we waited until we caught our connecting train at 9:30am to Bonn.
