    Great deal for the price!

We booked with Desafio and for $32 we got transportation to and from, all day access (but only one transport up and down per day) and a dinner with starter, entree and dessert. I had steak and it was awesome. The water pools had varying temperatures, it wasn't overly busy and the water slides were a blast.

Very useful to stay in a hotel with hot springs and drinks at reasonable prices being served inside the pool. The room is simple but nice. The outdoor part of the hotel is huge and green with many options to entertain tourists from frogs, to crocodiles. It was a pleasant stay.

This is an amazing resort. The geothermal pools were fabulous; although we used them excessively, we never became inured to the pleasure we felt. There was so much to do there. We did hikes, rented an ATV and enjoyed the food both at the resort & the surrounding area.

This morning we got up early again for another bird-fest at the La Quinta bird feeder, but didn't see anything new.

Happy birthday Momma! But I think we might need an arc to get out of here cause it hasn't stopped raining at all. This morning as we get ready to go the guide Pamela gives us the heads up that if the roads are too bad we might have to walk for portions of the trip and if it's really bad carry our luggage too. Not a problem with me except that I'm a …

"My father considered a walk among the mountains as the equivalent of churchgoing." Aldeous Huxley) What a day! In that order: canopy walk on 5 suspension bridges, zip lining and night nature walk. The walk this morning was very pleasant. It was a botany lesson in the adaptation of plants and trees in a rainforest. The highlight was a mother and baby 2-toed sloths in a tree close to one of the bridges. After lunch at a neat restaurant built around a ...

I was awoken by a voice beside me (Jess) entering my dreams asking "it's light. Why hasn't the alarm gone off?". My eyes spring open and I grab for my phone. Mierde! It's 6 o'clock!! Gerry is taking us to the bus at 6! In a scene straight out of Home Alone we jumped out of bed and threw on our clothes. If there had been a fire we couldn't have been any quicker. When we got outside Casa del Agua Gerry was waiting for us. We ...

... in the ground... Creepy looking! Saturday, yoga first thing in the morning was just what I needed for an achy back. Carry my mochilla all day nearly everyday takes a toll but, I still cannot get those hip openers!! The instructor did teach a neat trick though: inverted V with either your hands or your feet on a blanket instead of the mat. It really forces you to engage those core muscles instead of relying on the hands, arms and shoulders to do the work. Loved it and gonna ...
