    I find myself in a group of crazy laughing and hearty Hungarian students. Directly at Lake Balaton we rent a two-floor holiday house our own - at least for this weekend. Every individual I see here on Friday for the first time in my life. It feels like I am on a different planet... there are no signs of any AIESEC network here. Awesome!

    Hévis is a funny old place. First night in, we just went out for a wander and discovered that there is the world's biggest thermal peat lake in Hévis. Apparently it is a miracle cure for all sorts of ailments. So the place is set up for, and crawling with, geriatrics who wander the streets with bathing rings wearing terry-towelling robes. Its very disturbing! Jo has been joking that we've stepped into a real-life version of the movie ...

    ... time for a little history lesson, stopping off at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Being one of the earliest camps setup, it was full of harrowing stories during its various phases during the war and also after the war when the soviets used it for similar purposes. It was a tough day, but well worth the visit.

    ... to be less than stable. That left us with the crocodile which was a bit embarrassing :), but it did give us an hour or so of fun on the lake.
