... heard of San Marino but as Sue mentioned it is an independent state named after a Christian stonemason Marinus from around 300 when he hid in the mountain peaks to avoid persecution by the Romans and started a community there. It must have been a case of too small a fish to worry about as today, the mountain state exists as the 5th smallest country in the world. The buildings and scenery were breathtaking. Well worth the long bus ride to get there
San Marino, San Marino, San Marino pollies... as each seat filled the novelty soon wore off. It became cramped and uncomfortable... both physically and socially. As soon as we got to Austria however, the stunning views of the huge, steaming mountain forests, and ice blue rivers took our minds off the traveling conditions. On several occasions we couldn't help but gasp and 'wow' at the surroundings (which I felt quite guilty for doing because there was a blind woman in our carriage).
Nevertheless, it is an understatement to ...

... front. The beach is broken into sections each section has a restaurant, sporting stuff (basketball hoops, Volleyball, Gyms, etc.) lounge chairs and umbrellas. Some even have an outdoor gym. The beach is actually sand, which is a novelty for Italy. We picked up some of the free bikes from the hotel and rode all around the city. I stopped and had a quick swim, Outside of the fact both of our asses were completely numb and bruised afterwards (not the best bikes ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy moore_mattj... Byzantine mozaics in the world, Ravenna is small, has free bike hire and a bike/pedestiran only town centre, and of the sites apart from one lie within a few hundred metres of one another. Another highlight - the place is free of the hoards of tourists we encountered everywhere else in Italy.
And the mosaics - my pictures don't do them any justice at all, you really must go for ...
... of the play as unforgivable as if you had just gone after the Pope. I turned around, nervous, but no flags were thrown. It was pass interference but again out here, you never know.
We got the ball and Tisma called fake 24 reverse slot which is probably the worst play in our playbook. I swore I wouldn’t run it if he called it because it’s a gimmicky play that works 20% of the time and the other 80% loses yards. We fake a dive to Reggie right then I ...
A disgrace I know, but I didn’t take any pictures in Forli , in fact I almost didn’t take any NOTICE of Forli at all. A slight distraction in the midst of me preparing last year accounts and my VAT returns before we depart for Asia. I had to get it done and yes I felt like a boring old b******d but when it was all done it was wonderful. The hotel here was nice ...
Forli, Emilia-Romagna, Italy mamma-mia... museum was closed that day.We explained we had come all this way to see it and he kindly agreed to open it up after lunch for us. He showed us a place to get lunch agreeing to meet us back at the museum in an hour and half. At lunch we ate a great meal of antipasto and pasta and I downed the house wine which came in a caraffe. Not wanting to waste it I drank the lot and so was suitably mellow by 3pm when we returned to the museum. The museum was ...

... of our trip. The town was called Portico di Romagna and had a population of only 380. It also had one of the best chefs in all of Tuscany! We got into our rooms which were so ornate and had wonderful old furniture. They were also very big, and Daniel could lie down in the bottom of the wardrobe and still have room to spare! We then went back downstairs to mingle with the other guests. Around the table we had an American, two Danes, two Italians, us ...
