... to the coffee shop for an hour. Once we were allowed back inside we napped for another hour before heading back into Munich. We ate lunch at another nice Bavarian restaurant then explored the English Gardens. Some ice cream rounded out our walk before I had to head back to the airport as well.

I didn't see as much of Munich as I would have liked, but the trip was definitely meant more as a reunion than a travel experience. Maybe I can make it back for Oktoberfest.

Munich was also the starting place of the Nazi Party, and many of the ...

... So I held all their loose stuff and hats and took pictures. It cost 8 Euros to ride it and the line wasn’t too long. They said it was a great ride. I love roller coasters but I didn’t want to risk hurting my back with a 9 hour plane ride in the offing. Next we all rode the Ferris Wheel which gave us a great view of the main midway and Munich. Then Larry, Derek and Erin rode a ride that had seats in a star shaped form ...

... at how closely franchises are located in European cities. There are usually three H&M’s, three Zara’s and three Swarovski shops (you get my drift) all on the same street.

We ate our packed lunch near the Christmas markets and had a squiz in the Frauenkirche. It was really beautiful, and up the back there was an unusual footprint on the ground. This black mark, according to legend, was where the devil stood when ...
