... on the boat, it was a brief hour ride to Hvar town, on the island bearing the same name. Because the boat is so fast, everyone has to stay inside, unlike on the slower ferry boat. But it was a smooth ride and in no time at all, we were pulling into the small harbor at Hvar town, where our latest Air Bnb host met us and let us to her guesthouse.

... our time there wandering the quirky alleyways. The promenade itself is pretty and at the time there weren't as many tourists around yet. Generally Split's inhabitants seem very relaxed and friendly.
