    ... water flowing over it, sort of a fountain. It looked, in the fog, like it could be snow . . . but only for a moment. It was some kind of soap that they clean the sign and water with . . . sort of like in a giant bubble bath!! It had dissipated some when we left, but I did take a picture!

    Breakfast at a little place called Roast and Toast in the Gaslight District. Afterward, we shopped in the area and found a nice bookstore called McLean & Eakin Booksellers. Elsewhere, Peggy was in shopping heaven and bought tea, spices, cooking tools and a sweater.     ... tonight is that we are tired as there really is nothing that sets it apart from the many other small towns in northern Michigan. Tomorrow we continue heading north until we can cut around the top of Lake Michigan. Today has been very boring, but things should pick up soon as we leave the interstates behind and get up close and personal with Michigan.

    ... warm. As far as snow goes, other than on Christmas, you can have it! I hate shoveling off my car for an hour after work everyday, driving 25 mph EVERYWHERE, slippery/snotty roads, whiteouts, salt on my Jeep, all of it I hate it. I would love Michigan IF I could spend the winters somewhere else-somewhere warm. So....I just have to figure out HOW to go about doing ...

    ... campground we were treated to a visit by a Chocolate Lab who was taking a bath in the lake. The water was chilly but he didn't mind. We wish that Riley could have come on the road with us, and we talk about getting another dog. But we want to get a little more comfortable with traveling before we introduce another family member. And we need to make sure there is enough room in the camper for three of us!
