    To get to the U.S. at Sault Ste. Marie you have to take the International bridge over the St. Marie river which is where Lake Superior dumps into Lake Huron. The Canadian Shield has been replaced by a bit of farmland, but the trees are still plentiful, I even saw a maple syrup farm. It's all about the bridges today!     ... It was so nice outside that we decided to take a table on the deck so we could watch the boats. We hadn't even ordered before we decided it was too cold - the wind was blowing and we had on shorts - so we knew it was only going to get cooler so we moved inside.
