We hit the border with John Denver singing away on our radio, not a care in the world. The sky was clouding over, the temperature was dropping (rapidly) and the miles were flying bye.
Some of the older buildings are so enjoyable to see, the stories these buildings must be able to tell would be amazing.

Well done to Stuart and Sylvia for surviving a epic ride (227 miles) through the best and worst that the eastern states of the USA could throw at us. So much for the easy first day they asked for! Oops. But hopefully the jet lag will have eased tomorrow, and on the bright side Stuart’s new boots are, in fact, waterproof.

New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Indiana, Iowa, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, California, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee...in addition to Kenya, Rwanda, Switzerland, Belize, and Canada. (If I remember correctly, the only state that I have not been in my life is Oklahoma......not deliberate, just haven't been there.)
By noon, we had gassed up 3 times, been through a rain shower, travelled 307 kms (probably 100 of them in construction zones) and had just finished lunch at Burger King. We all ordered their chicken salad with different kinds of cheeses and kept the young lady in the back ...
