    ... fell, the hole meant that the pipes were exposed. The water in the pipes froze and then the pipe(s) burst. We woke up on Wednesday morning to no water. Thankfully everything was fixed by the evening and the ceiling is progressively being fixed - it has been -20 or lower for about 24 hours now and not further incident. So fingers crossed it remains this way.

  • Here in Canada you have to wait for 5 minutes (they actually time this with a timer) holding the cotton gauze on the insertion point before they put a bandage on you. THIS IS THE MOST BORING THING EVER. In Australia you do wait for a bit, until the bleeding stops, but it is not 5 minutes.

    ... The cloud cover was really styling; it looked like rows of cotton puffs (I wanted to roll in it - I'm blaming the drugs). I perked up near the end of the flight and had to suppress the urge to yell, 'I see the CN Tower'. That's a throwback from my childhood when we would all look for the water tower on our way home! The first leg was about 4 hours and we arrived at Pearson International Airport with no difficulties. Now we had a four hour wait ...
