... walked into our room and saw a dozen roses waiting for her. Since her B-Day was tomorrow I thought it would be nice to surprise her with her favorite flowers.
Our room is on the 7th floor with a drop dead gorgeous view of Lake Louise. Unfortunately due to the forest fires raging throughout the western US, smoke is drifting east hundreds of mile. So if the pictures look a bit hazy - its the smoke.

We had used this mode for the parade, but that was a simple trip - into town, watch the parade, and then come back to the campground. ... now out of the way we headed to dinner. Lori booked us at a restaurant called "Wellington's of Calgary", a steak place. Aside from being a great steak restaurant, Lori chose it because it name reminded her of New Zealand, where we all met last December. How appropriate. The meal was great and so were the staff.
