I'm leaving my house in about twelve hours for the airport. Then I go from Newark to London, London to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Guangzhou, a whopping 30 hour journey from the door of my house to the door of my boyfriend Siqi's apartment. We stopped in Maryland for lunch - had to have some sort of crab of course. Found Baldwin's Crab House in Joppa, MD. - not far from the highway. It was a delicious meal - I had crab cakes that were mostly crab and just a little breading to hold it all together (made me think of J. Musch's crab cakes in Houston - yum). ... and a whole heap of cafes and ice cream shops, heaven. After a bit of wandering, we headed back through the park to the house where we managed to skype Cat's parents before having lunch. We then decided to spend the afternoon relaxing in front of the TV watching a few films. Later we enjoyed a meal of bbq ribs with Ben and Lori until Rob came home from work. We then chatted for a while and then went off to bed.

... 11:00 AM after stopping by the grocery store for a few supplies. It was, and is, good to be home even if the lawn and some pachysandra is parched and brown. We were not surprised since we had heard that temps in the east were hovering around the century mark for some days while we were out west. It’ll come back in due time.
