Today we went up to Cortona for a look around. As you will see in the photos it is a place of narrow streets and alley ways and very old buildings.

Karen, Brian, Mike and I picked up a rental car in Pisa and headed out to the coast travelling south. We had one night to fill in before our week at a villa in Cortona in Tuscany.

We saw a sign for Villa Margurita and laughed as this was the name of the excellent accommodation we had just left in Levanto. We decided to go and take a look and were rewarded. It was right on the coast but also had a fabulous swimming pool down at the water's edge. ...
