... was inspiration for our cornetto ice cream) and a arancino which is rice and tasty beef and cheese filling in a breadcrumb crust...sound off but really nice and not oily. And a glass of Savignon blanco which was ok - not sweet. Best airport food. Plane passengers well trained- all on board 15 mins before departure. Really cramped seating but only 1.15 flight. Train to Roma Termini 14€ each 30 mins, ...

... we saw another wedding in the square. It isn't really surprising that Cortona seems to be a popular place for weddings.

Back to the Villa and Peter and Alan decided to have a night off as resident chefs, so we had take away Pizza.

Next week promises to be a bit busier as Peter has 3 day trips planned. We are particularly interested in the one to Assisi.

... lucky to get a 2 bedroom apartment for a cheap price which was up the road a kilometre but we were able to come back and use the facilities as well as breakfast in the morning.

We found a fabulous cheap and cheerful restaurant and had a beaut pizza and fish meal, with Veges. Like all kiwis it's the fresh vegetables you miss the most from your diet when travelling.

Well not much to tell you about today, we used it as a catch up, took me ages to do yesterday's blog and photos, mostly because it was such an informative day! I’d missed doing it the night before because we were later home from Florence and were whisked out for a wonderful dinner and I was exhausted when we got home.
