... Arriving we were lucky enough to see a young doctor who could speak english, and after a quick explanation of what happened, he checked out Emma's ear. Not seeming very happy with what he saw, he went looking for an ear specialist, but couldn't find one... He came back and explained that he could see blood in the ear, there was a perforation in the middle drum (caused by the unexpected fast ascent scuba diving) and that a course of antibiotics and anti-inflamitories should do until ...

What's amazing here is that you have to search to find a place that DOESN'T have an amazing view! Every corner, every peek between the buildings, offers another "oh wow" view of the land below. There are other towns in the distance, farm land, and towards the edge of the horizon, a lake. I can certainly understand the appeal of renting a house in Tuscany ...

Toys, toys everywhere

A travel blog entry by oclc on Mar 16, 2013

... e. Most amusing to watch.
Returning home for the second time we played more until Millo started crying for some inexplicable reason and Livia's solution was to buy him another toy. Thus I set out for a third time, Millo in hand, to buy another car. (Fun fact- the car was broken so I had to go out for a fourth time to return it!).
The rest of the day passed with the kids playing together, while I skyped the ol' ...
