One of the highlights of the trip so far was our morning ballooning with Chris and Claire from "Ballooning in Tuscany". We had an early start (5am) to be down at the launch field for 5.40am and then we took off at about 6.30-6.45am on a beautifully sunny morning with fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside - the pictures hopefully do it more justice than any description I can ...

After lunch, we went right to the top of the hill to look around Cortona. Cortona is a walled city so we had to try and find somewhere where we could get in. Once in, we spent ages looking around Cortona we found a souvenir shop and we bought a few things. I got a snow ...

Five aubergines

... I made this aubergine thingy (because we have about five aubergines that are just sitting there doing they tend to do) which I was thinking was going to be horrible because aubergines are usually gross, in my very intellectual and important opinion. I was thus, pleasantly surprised to find out that, not only was it edible, but it was also quite nice. Quite the unexpected miracle.
Millo had a friend over in the afternoon, but he ...
