Two lazy days

... we saw another wedding in the square. It isn't really surprising that Cortona seems to be a popular place for weddings.

Back to the Villa and Peter and Alan decided to have a night off as resident chefs, so we had take away Pizza.

Next week promises to be a bit busier as Peter has 3 day trips planned. We are particularly interested in the one to Assisi.

... this will do for dinner" and "this will do for lunch". It was superb especially sprinkled with the Tuscan dried herbs we had purchased.
Our hosts were a middle aged Italian couple, Rita and Alessando. Rita cooked us a very tasty apricot pie and gave us a jar of her apricot jam. They were superb! We read in the visitors book that she had showed some guests how to cook a particular Tuscan dish so we asked if she would give us an Italian cooking ...

As for the interior goings on of today, Annetta and I cooked something new; a pumpkin mold. Sounds fairly gross, was not great either. It wasn't bad it just wasn't how it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be like a sort of pie/cake thang. In reality it was a dish of slightly watery pumpkin goop. Yum!
