Off to Heathrow for a flight down south
12:15 finds me in the back of my favourite step daughters car en route for Heathrow, about now we should have been boarding the train but what with the weather and all that, trains seem even more unreliable than ever, so here we are. It comes to something when the biggest concern with a trip to Rwanda, is getting out of the West Country. Arrived at Heathrow in plenty of time even though we had to stop for fuel for the car, then fuel for the driver (Krispy Kreme donuts). ...
Back home again
... was quick, the luggage waiting for us (very impressive) and we just straight onto the Heathrow Express. This got us nicely into paddington to connect with the 1806 so we were back in Home by 2130 tired but glad we had made that train as the next we 2 hours later.
All in all a fantastic holiday which went like clockwork and we both enjoyed every second. Thanks for everyone who commented, we read them with great interest and the odd laff.

Picture Perfect Polperro
... No mobiles (no reception down here – yippee). Just this great place to savour. Walked down the west side of the harbour and onto the Cornish Coastal Path (reputed to go all the way to Lands End). What incredibly beautiful scenery. The path follows the cliffs, keeping as far as practicable to the actual coast. The short walk we did – about 2 kms – whetted our appetite for more. Return to Moretonhampstead
... had booked 10 of us for two days golf and a night in Bovey Castle (known to us as The Manor House), Moretonhampstead. The spiritual home of The Moreton Masters, who have since the early days of Marlborough, North Wilts, Dunfermline and Gleneagles etc have become an international society playing golf on courses across South Carolina, Florida and France.

Home Again
Friday 28th September
Journey's end for me, arrived about 2pm after being mete at the Airport by my wife and Marion a friend who drove the car as my wife don't drive any further than Exeter.
It was a short and expensive trip to the South of France but enjoyable and one of those things you have to put down to experience.
