- The kids have started school (September 3rd was the official start
day). We've enrolled both of them in a formal online school. Quinn's is a
parent driven curriculum, while Hagan's is online - live classes, web
cam, curriculum with other students from around the world. So far - both
are working out really well.

... honest, the museums and gallery aren't that interesting since they were small places. The Boboli Gardens, on the other hand, is a decently sized garden. Only thing is that since we went there early April, nothing was in bloom so we didn't get to see the garden in full effect. The Pitti Palace is nice though. We were trying to imagine what it would be like to be royalty and live in a palace as grand as this.

... further away from where I started, in the opposite direction! It was quite a feat, I believe, to get as lost as I did. Well that's what I thought. Until when I made it back to my hostel and read in my Lonely Planet guide: "Venice is not an easy place to navigate and even with a map you're bound to get lost..." That definitely made me feel ALOT better!
But there is something to appreciate from walking and getting lost. ...
... in the afternoon, and we couldn't get any sleep due to the noise. Although obviously they had stopped by the time we actually went to bed at night, and to be fair it didn't wake us up in the morning. Like I said, it wasn't a major issue, but it would have been nice if we were informed.

Those girls in there are bored, but then again they probably answer the same 5 questions every day, all day long. This was funny—they have specializations.
