... me really curious what it must have been like all those years ago. After exploring the ruins, we made our way to Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary, which before this trip I had never heard of before. There were so many rescued kittens that were being cared for and many were roaming around outside the sanctuary amongst the roman ruins. I'm not even a cat person but I still enjoyed it and recommend it (although if you have a pet back at home you'll definitely start missing it a lot ...
... in our mind of how the building used to be with a covered roof and marble all throughout the building that is no longer there. My only wish is that they should have a model of the building of what they assume it looked like so tourists could see this to help the understand the grandeur of the building. G and I loved this part of the tour and look forward to coming back to spend more time having a look around. Once finished we then get back into the bus to go ...
... among busy streets and larger buildings. Everything manages to feel “old” here, while still feeling new and clean - cobblestone streets, antique lampposts, ornate brickwork and doorways, and columns everywhere!

The side panel on the driver's side door fell off; there's no outside car door handle; no rear view or right side mirror; the driver's seat I think came off the right hinge, so it slants into the leg room in the back; the back left side door doesn't open from the outside; the heater doesn't shut off so it's permanently on all the time and the glove box is duck taped ...
... images for that. The Sistine Chapel is somehow now copywrited after it was restored, so no photos are allowed, but it was incredible to see in person. I thought it would be bigger than what it is, but as we walked through the same door the Pope uses, my eyes didn't know where to look first. Having just finished the bible, I knew the stories behind the paintings, but Katarina provided the stories behind the project.
