I will start in Hawaii to visit my most favorite friend and cousin, Brian. He is just outside of Honolulu and has a guest bedroom I will take full advantage of. ... river. The entire length from start to finish is more than 6 miles, so we drove to various points on the trail and saw 4 of the waterfalls. Pretty brutal workout, too…lots of steep climbs and stairs.

To end off the day, we explored Salem, which doesn’t take long at all. The capitol mall area has a few neat buildings and fountains, but that’s pretty much it.

... else’s house—at mine I would have cleaned shelves or found some tasks to do. So I read and played Candy Crush on computer. I am up to game 101 now. Supposed to rain the rest of my time here—and I won’t get to do all the things I had planned. Phil called several times and that is nice. ... Day. Once there we wandered through some shops but they had hideous gaudy **** in them, that we wondered who on earth bought that stuff now Michael Jackson is dead?
