    Pre-trip excitement

    ... between my big bag and my backpack, but did mean I had fewer liquids to carry on. I weighed everything and have about 4lb to spare, so that's a relief. Which leaves my favorite pre-vacation task. Henna tattoo! Sharan and I watched a movie on Netflix and I applied a henna tattoo to both hands. Nothing says, "I'm not going to work for two weeks" like a henna design. :) I hope I can sleep ...

    ... passengers all boarded except us and 2 other guys, and the guy at the gate told us we could all get on. Yaayy! We were on our way!

    10 minutes into the flight, Sharan was already missing his phone, so he asked to see mine. Fortunately, he fixed it right away and had some entertainment. I was sitting next to a giant guy who seemed pretty friendly.

    I woke up early (hello birds) and got the coals started for breakfast. It's always nice to wake up to the sound of the birds and be up and about before anyone else - it's like I have the whole campground to myself.

    ... were and the different varieties. It was really nice to see everything set up and all in all I really enjoyed learning about how this stuff works from farm to market and all the work in between - all the people I met, the conversations I had, the loading and unloading, the stings and cuts from harvesting..... This is really hard work and it gives me a deeper appreciation for where my food comes from ...

    ... Jack Nicklaus' course), the school where his son teaches, and even Hollywood Casino where I lost $5....there goes my kid's inheritance! Then Henry treated me to some great Chinese food for lunch just a few blocks from his house. Hearing the waitress and him talking Cantonese was something special and I didn't understand a word!!!
