    ... in Munich, and they set off toward the famous Hofbrauhaus Munchen (not before the 2 front desk tricksters make some sort of hilarious--to them--practical joke about Amanda going down the stairs as she exits). The walk to the Hofbrauhaus is only 10 minutes or so and takes them past the impressive Marienplatz, where they struggle to find a picture to capture the scene.

    ... a beer hall across the street and even got ourselves some pretzels! The three of us were in agreement that pretzels are super delicious until you get to the side with the intense amount of salt. Karliana and I picked off the salt chunks and ate three whole pretzels. We stumbled back into our room around 12:30 and woke the rest of our roommates up when I couldn't open the lock on my locker. It's a good thing all our roommates are so chill!     ... listened to the music. General merrymaking! One thing to note was that whenever someone stood up on a table and began to skull the stein everyone would cheer and encourage the person then go wild if they finished it. At one point it got a bit silly though every minute someone was up. There was one guy who stood up and started to rev up the crowd to get behind him, but he failed to finish.     ... a sunday market that lined the banks of the river then hiked our way to the castle which overlooks the town. We entered the castle and walked its cobblestone courtyard, torture chambers and wooden halls with cannons and defences and other artefacts of a bygone era.     Yesterday we caught the 9.10am train from Paris to Mannheim, where we changed trains and then arrived in Munich where we will be spending three nights. The train trip took 6 hours as a whole and was so pleasant - I'm so jealous of Europeans who can so easily travel between countries and towns.
