Aurora is such a beehive of activity! After last week's business tours and campaign event, it was a pleasure to return for the well-attended Home and Garden Show and to meet with supporters and voters.
What made it extra special was that my interview last week with the Aurora News-Register was in the current week's paper on Page 1, so the new people I met were already somewhat familiar with my name!
... and how inspiring to see what the community came together to build.
We enjoyed the dinner and awards very much, as the contributions of so many people were apparent to Central City's health and prosperity.
I was happy to reacquaint myself with many longtime friends as well as to meet many new people.

Last, but certainly not least, I enjoyed a campaign event hosted for me by several local community leaders in the Bremer Community Center.

... US 64 N. This detour led me down some winding country roads. While skirting some of the rain, I couldn't avoid it all. I ducked into an available garage to change into my rain suit. When I stopped, I saw a big 100 lb+ Rottweiler running out of the garage. I got changed hoping no one was going to come in and demand I leave.
