... hotel and I adjusted Dave P steering. It was about 4.5 inches of play and I got it to about 3 inches. It has been hot - 90's. Tuesday I took out the thermostat from the top radiator hose and engine has been running cooler. I have also been playing with the spark and have found a sweet spot were the engine runs real well and temp has been the lowest. When we got onto 55 I was running at 47 to 49 mph. and the temp stayed nice and steady. Good night Ready for Lincoln's stuff ...

Jeffrey has readied our "tiny house." The bikes are loaded and fresh water in the tank! He has added something to the cars, since they will be dormant for a while.

They picked their favorite spot to give us a taste of what they said was the Springfield special "the horse shoe" not going to tell you what it is, but I will say it was not my cup of tea. We than enjoyed a ride or should I say cruise in their Checker thru Springfield Historical area. All in all a fun day that will now be held in our memory book and best of all no problems(that I know of with our Checker) ...
So armed with our car and our EZ66 guide (easy, well we'll see) off we set this morning having retraced our steps by car to the original starting point on Adams and Michigan. After just a slight diversion ( the Chicago Fire and Rescue deciding to practice their skills Downtown and shut off several streets) we set off following our invaluable guide on the first part of our journey, 200 miles to Springfield, the State Capital.
