... the 25th year of the German reunification (1989). They were expecting thousands of people in Frankfurt and we actually ( on Saturday night) watched the major event on the TV. Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with benches..family style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.

Another lesson was the day I was "lost" ~ things in my life that may be a wrong decision will not always have the "DA DA DA" music in the background. This great happening makes everyone feel good every year. It's something that reflects so much of what is good about Knoxville. It puts the city in a great light. Many communities can only dream about having something in their town that does so much for everyone involved.
